Intervening Dyscalculia Among Socio Culturally Backward Students: A Learning Style Approach

Dyscalculia is a major learning disability found among our young learners. Unfortunately, such children are never diagnosed at the right time. The book will serve as a study guide to many parents and teachers who confront with such children. The book focuses on the study done on the role of learning styles in minimizing the dyscalculia of the learners. Those dyscalculia children coming from poor socio economic and educational family background may find it very hard to learn along with their peers at school. If the teachers are well aware of the learning styles and learning disability of their students they handle, the task becomes simple and clear for them to overcome such problems. The study conducted on the dyscalculia students will   be an eye opener to many stake holders and educational institutions.

Dr. Sunila Thomas has been working as an Associate Professor in the education department of Titus II Teachers College, Tiruvalla, Kerala, India. She has more than 27 years of experience on moulding prospective teachers. She is a resource person in many international and national seminars and workshops. She is also research Supervisor of Ph.D candidates.
